We made the best of another month in quarantine with a virtual gender reveal party, a drive by birthday celebration, and even a backyard socially distant visit with friends! Our daily walks continued and we celebrated my first Mother’s Day as a mom! Overall, month 10 with Millie Anne was another great one.
11 Month Old Baby Stats
According to our Hatch Grow Smart Changing Pad & Scale Mila now weighs around 18lbs 6oz, which is in the 36th percentile. We’re so happy that she continues to grow and thrive after being as low as the 1st percentile for so long. She is in size 3 diapers and wears clothing size 9 months in most brands.

Baby-Led Weaning at 11 Months Old
We had another fun month of baby-led feeding and trying out new foods. Of course, there are some new challenges including Millie finding it fun to throw foods onto the ground, pick up her plate, and also eat her bib (strange, I know). Oh, and she’s also obsessed with sticking her finger in her nose while eating…kids! Here is a list of the new foods she tried this month. To see the full list of foods 1-54 check out the 8 month, 9 month, and 10 month blog updates or follow along with my BLW story highlights on Instagram.

- Turkey Mango Meatballs
- Hummus
- Hard Cheese – Shredded Gouda

- Salmon Fritters
- Butter (Grass-fed Unsalted)
- Ricotta (Whole Milk)
- Almond Butter & Banana French Toast

Using the Dairy Ladder for CMPI in Baby
At the start of the month it seemed like we were making great progress with the dairy ladder. Yet, by the end of the month we started realizing we might be seeing some signs of Mila not tolerating dairy as well as we had originally thought. After a lot of dairy last week she seems to be constipated, gassy, and uncomfortable at times this week. We were following the rule of 3 days of dairy followed by 3 “off” days to watch for reactions, but I recently read that they have changed that recommendation to 7 days of dairy followed by 3 “off” days. As of right now we are taking some time off of dairy to let her tummy heal and then going to try feeding small amounts of it off and on to see how she tolerates it.

11 Month Old Baby Milestones and Favorite Things
Camila loves being outdoors and bounces up and down while waving her arms around when she realizes we are going for a walk. Another favorite outdoor activity is swinging in her new swing set, which was an early birthday gift. We also got her this outdoor mat for her birthday. It is more of a “family gift” for us to all spend time outside playing, having picnics, etc. Speaking of outdoors, if you’re looking for an outdoor chair for your baby to sit and eat in I highly recommend this portable baby seat!
Camila gets better at standing while holding on to furniture every day and is also able to pull herself up. She loves practicing her “clap, clap, clap” and waving. Of course seeing “dada” when he gets home from work is one of her favorite parts of the day! Her grandparents got her the Loverly Play Kit as a “quarantine gift” and it has been wonderful! We try to practice activities from it daily. She also loves her Sophie the Giraffe Sensory Ball and her favorite books are currently The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Snuggle Puppy.

Looking Forward To…
Outdoor Visits with Family & Friends! We have been very strict about social distancing during COVID-19 and haven’t had anyone inside of our house or even stepped inside a grocery store. I’m very excited that the weather is finally warming up so that we can visit outside with family and friends while still staying safe!
Camila’s 1 year Photo Shoot! I have mixed emotions about this one…I’m so excited to get professional photos done for Camila’s first birthday, but at the same time I’m dreading it because I know how stressful photo shoots with babies can be. I’m sure it’ll be worth it!
Camila’s 1st Birthday! Like everyone says, it’s so hard to believe my baby is turning one in a few weeks! We made the decision to do just a small outdoor birthday celebration with grandparents and then do a drive by party with everyone else due to COVID. This wasn’t what I had in mind for Mila’s first birthday, but I’m in full party planning mode and determined to make the best of it!
Father’s Day! Millie’s birthday happens to fall on Father’s Day this year. It’s sure to be a wonderful weekend of celebration for all of us!
Stay tuned…my next Camila update will be for a 1-year-old!
